Lafourche Arc provides Community Supports and Services through a variety of program types. All Programs aim to provide opportunities and assistance to those who wish participate in their community as independently as possible. Lafourche Arc has the capability to provide services to individuals with complex medical needs including but not limited to traumatic brain injuries, tube feedings, catheterizations, etc.
New Opportunities Wavier (NOW)
is a Medicaid waiver designed to provide home and community based supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This program is operated through the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities. This program offers an alternative to institutionalization and promotes independence and community inclusion.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
is provided through the NOW. Individuals 18 years of age or older may receive SIL services. This program assist individuals to acquire, improve or maintain social and adaptive skills needed to live and participate in their community as independently as possible.
Louisiana Children’s Choice (LCC) Waiver
is a Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver which offers supplemental support to children between birth and 18 years of age with developmental disabilities who live in their home with their families or who will leave an institution to return home.
Supports Waiver (SW)
is designed to enhance Home and Community Based Supports and Services. The SW is designed to create options and provide meaningful opportunities for individuals 18 year of age and older with a developmental disability through vocational and community inclusion. These services can also be provided in the home setting.
Residential Options Wavier (ROW)
Provides opportunities to person of all ages with developmental disabilities (intensive and/or complex needs) so they may transition from an institutional setting to a home setting with an array of comprehensive supports.
Lafourche Arc is able to offer a comprehensive package of services to disabled individuals who may have been injured in an accident through private pay arrangements.
