LEAD CMA (2 openings)
OPEN TO ALL LAFOURCHE ARC EMPLOYEES ONLY
- High School diploma/GED
- At least two (2)years experience as a CMA in a community home setting
- Must be a Certified Medication Attendant
The Certified Medication Attendant (CMA) is an employee who has successfully completed a training program approved by the State of Louisiana Department of Health for medication administration, passed the written examination administered by the State, and has received certification as a Certified Medication Attendant. Under the supervision of the staff nurses, the Certified Medication Attendant administers medications as prescribed by the residents' physician(s) and documents administration, the medication effectiveness, and any noted adverse actions or side effects of the medications in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Lafourche Arc, current standards of practice and care, and applicable state/federal regulations.
Work is typically performed in a community home setting, and the Lead CMA will work in the Stevens or Diplomat Way community home. One will not start until December 2016.
